Sunglasses are "hot!"

Chris Simpson Said:

When it comes to fashion, sunglasses are “hot!” What can be hotter than George Clooney as Danny Ocean wearing designer sunglasses in the Oceans movies? Paris Hilton or the Olsen twins can be seen, just about anywhere in Hollywood, day or night, wearing the latest in designer sunglasses. When they walk the red carpet and they are asked, “What are you wearing?” they might lower their sunglasses down on their noses and peer over the rims and drop designer names like Vera Wang, Dior, Valentino, Gucci and Armani.

As an attention-getting accessory or fashion statement, designer or custom sunglasses are nothing new. Trendsetters like Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, and Elton John sported designer and custom sunglasses as part of their “look” or star status. Some have worn sunglasses to hide behind, cover their drug-affected eyes, or make a statement. Pictures of Elvis Presley reveal that he had sunglasses custom-made for him with his initials or the letters TCB (Taking Care of Business) built right into the nose bridge.

Stars like Sophia Loren, Donald Trump, and Britney Spears have their own name brand sunglasses on the market while others may be wearing Marc Jacobs or Armani sunglasses for a classy look or Baby Phat for punk style. The mood for the day might be for the blast-to-the-past 1950’s look of Fossil sunglasses.

The same clothing designer may also be the designer of the sunglasses that you choose to accessorize your brand-name clothing. For instance, the smart Tommy dresser can add to the look of a Tommy Hilfiger clothing ensemble with Tommy Hilfiger sunglasses. For casual wear, Kate Spade sunglasses might do nicely. Carrera is known for a sporty look. For a sensual mood, Valentino frames that have smooth round edges and Swarovsky crystals might just put you (or whoever is looking at you) in the mood.

Designer sunglasses, if you can afford them, are a status symbol showing everyone that you have the cash (or credit card) to buy them. However, in order to be fashionable in sunglasses, you do not have to give up quality. Sunglasses, not being just fashionable accessories, are used to protect your eyes from damage caused by the sun’s UV (ultra-violet) rays. Designer prescription sunglasses can improve vision, and reduce eyestrain, just like ordinary glasses.

Name-brand and designer sunglasses can be polarized to reduce the glare of the sunlight reflecting off surfaces like the highway, cars, water or snow. Polarized sunglasses work by blocking off the horizontal light reflections and only let in vertical light reflections. The polarization of designer sunglasses makes them fashionable in other areas of lifestyle like golfing, boating, biking, swimming, fishing and aircraft flying.

Marketers of designer sunglasses aim toward children who enjoy the same hot styles and brand-names as their parents and their idols. Children’s designer sunglasses can also be polarized. Sunglasses should be part of children’s daily wear as they play outside and engage in outdoor sports and activities. Sunglasses can prevent them from the long-term affects of sun damage to their eyes.

Sunglasses in any shade, shape or size, by any name may be a “hot” fashion item for trend-setting stars, men, women and children, but the importance of protecting the eyes from damage far outweighs the importance of looking cool.

Some Of The Main Benefits Of Sunglasses

Robert Smith Said:

Sunglasses are visual aids which feature as lenses that are darkened with different colours to prevent eyes from reaching the light. Eyes are relaxed under strong sun with sunglasses or sun cheaters. Sun produces many different kinds of light like ultaviolet radiation, bright and intense light and blue light.

Ultra Violet rays carry more energy than visible light rays, so the eye is at greater risk of damage from absorbing UV radiation than from absorbing other kinds of light. There are two types of UV rays that reach the Earth’s surface: UVA and UVB. These rays can cause, or speed up the progress of several diseases that affect the eye or its supporting structures. UVB rays have also been linked to skin cancer..If eyes are overexposed to ultraviolet radiation, the front portion of the eyes may be damaged. If visible light is too bright or intense, or if you stare directly at the sun, even briefly, the retina can be damaged, causing permanent loss of vision. Blue light is visible light in the blue portion of the colour spectrum. The intense glare of light reflecting off snow or water contains blue light. Blue light over many years may age the retina and increase the risk of blindness in some people over the age of sixty.

Sunglasses may be seen as ever more firmly embedded as part of the accessories sector. This means that not only do haute couture and increasingly numerous other fashion designers include them as part of their product range, as has long been the case, but the market includes an ever more diverse range of accessory or clothing specialists now including sunglasses within their portfolio. That said, such brands do not necessarily sell large volumes and their distribution is often limited. Examples range from the sports-oriented such as Reebok, Nike and Adidas, to young accessory brands such as Guess and Diesel, more mainstream accessory companies – Kenneth Cole or Anne Klein – and retailers themselves from the largest – Marks & Spencer – to smaller operators such as the Jewellers Agatha. It is not surprising that Oakley – as one of the more successful ‘younger’ sunglasses companies – should have developed an extensive complementary range of clothing and other accessories which could be expected to sell well to its established customer base.

Fashion also performs another role. While it may be argued that it is the high-fashion names that are leading the way, at virtually all price points there has been an acceleration in the pace of change with fashion now playing such a vital part. This both meets consumer demand for a fashionable and stylish product, and stimulates further demand in itself so both forces of supply and demand are working together to reinforce growth, especially at higher price points. With fashion trends changing every day its hard to keep up. Designer sunglasses can be very expensive. Replica designer sunglasses are as good as many other brands. Valuing a good pair of shades is more sensible than paying a very high cost for it.

Buying cheap wholesale sunglasses are beneficial as it actually gives you a bulk savings. Buying by the single pair(s) can end up costing the same amount if you purchase a few pair. So purchase wholesale sunglasses for protecting our eyes and to look fashionable.

Imitation Sunglasses – the New Way to Fool the World!

john Said:

So you envy your neighbour because she has a pair of Chanel sunglasses? But there is nothing to envy, you can get your pair of Chanel look alike in the form of imitation sunglasses. Imitation sunglasses, as the name suggests, are imitations of designer sunglasses. Made with great precision and by experienced designers, imitation sunglasses may not have a brand name imprinted on them but they surely reflect the same class and style as a pair of branded shades.

Recently this range of sunglasses has become a great hit amongst youngsters and not-so-young alike who wish to look like their favourite movie star or stand out amongst their peer group. Here are a few reasons why everyone is in love with imitation sunglasses these days:

They are affordable

Imitation sunglasses are a great way to fool the world and save your pocket. Your neighbour might be able to afford a pair of Roberto Cavalli shades but your family might have to go hungry for a day if you purchase one! But then that doesn’t mean you don’t have the right to look good. Imitation sunglasses help you fool the world just the way a pair of poker sunglasses help you fool the opponent. These sunglasses which are almost 1/10th price of original designer sunglasses, exude the same class and make heads turn.

Great variety

The collection of imitation sunglasses offered by wholesale distributors these days offer much more variety and colours rather than designer sunglasses. If you want to have a pair of pink shades to go with your pink dress and a pair of black ones to go with your black formal shirt then buying two different colours of designer sunglasses is surely going to cost you a bomb! On the other hand, imitation sunglasses, with their cheap prices and discounts on bulk purchases offer you great variety in less price.

It’s recession time

In this time of recession when people are breaking up due to stress, a pair of brand new Armani sunshades is surely going to take you into further depression once you see its price. With recession hitting the world, spending money on a luxury like sunglasses seems idiotic and eccentric. Hence in such a situation cheap, affordable yet trendy imitation sunglasses make the best bet. Brands do not cost that much because of the design or the quality, but it’s the expensive marketing and advertising cost that makes their prices touch the sky.
